Trade and Information Systems Project (TISP)

The STCP regional Trade and Information Systems Project (TISP) is one of three regional support projects to the cocoa/tree crop sector in West Africa and will specifically provide cross-country support to the pilot projects in five countries: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, and Guinea. TISP will serve to improve the standing of the small producer within the overall marketing system, and thus, will backstop marketing functions in each of the pilot projects. It will also carry out regional level functions where economies of scale give it a comparative advantage. TISP will operate throughout the three-year initial phase of field activity.

TISP will address four areas:
  1. Information and its management,
  2. Trade system linkages,
  3. Product quality, and
  4. Certification
Further information on Trade and Market Profiles of West African countries can be found at the International Trade Center (UNCTAD/WTO) website, including import/export trade statistics.
